This website
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics of its own. Apart from the sign-up forms described here, nothing you do on this site is tracked or profiled. The sign-up forms for the newsletter and the book launch list are provided by Kit (Kit.com). They load from Kit's own servers, so Kit receives the usual browser details when those pages load, may set its own cookies, and counts how many people view each form. Our web host keeps standard server logs, as any host does.
If you email us
We keep your message and reply to it. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to, and we do not pass your details to anyone else.
Please do not send patient information by email.
The newsletter
When you subscribe to Rule It In we collect your email address, the date and time you confirmed, and which issues you open and which links you click (Kit records these by default). We use it only to send the newsletter and to see which topics readers value. The list is held by Kit (Kit.com, United States), which means your address is stored outside Australia. We never sell or share the list, never add anyone without their consent, and never add patients of any clinic. Sign-up is double opt-in: you confirm your address before anything is sent. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link; your address is then removed from the active list within five working days.
The book launch list
If you join the launch list for Rule It In, Rule It Out we collect your email address, the date and time you confirmed, and whether you open our emails and click their links (Kit records these by default). It is held by Kit in the same way as the newsletter list, and sign-up is double opt-in in the same way. We use it only to tell you when the book is published and how to get it. Joining the launch list does not subscribe you to the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any email we send you.
